What is a comb trailer?

The Essential Transport Frame for Every Header Front

A comb trailer — also called a header comb trailer or front transport trailer — is the purpose-built frame that supports a harvester front while it's being moved between paddocks or transported on a truck. Without one, moving a draper or grain front safely is impractical, and the risk of damage to knife guards, auger housings and draper rollers is real.

For contractors running multiple machines across the season, a matched comb trailer is a requirement, not an optional accessory. It protects the front between paddocks so it arrives at the next cut ready to work.

Every comb trailer we build is fabricated in-house at our Swan Hill workshop — by the same hands that repair and rebuild the fronts. That means it's built to the actual dimensions of the front, not a generic approximation.
